THREE DAY PACKAGE

Walkers arrive in the late afternoon at Liz and Keith's property at 1556 Akatarawa Road. Safe parking is provided here. Walkers and their luggage are transported to their comfortable country accommodation. Dinner is provided.

The first days walk begins after a hearty breakfast and drive to the summit of the Akatarawa Road. The walk is guided and mostly in mature rain forest full of giant Rimu's and Miro's. Towards the end of this walk the rain forest gives way to the Beech Forest.

At the historic twin bridges walkers are transported back to their accommodation to freshen up before their Staglands Wildlife reserve experience. Walkers can explore the reserve and then enjoy the exclusive Gourmet BBQ.

The second day walk starts at 0930 am at the Karapoti carpark. This walk is self guided . Walkers will walk through an area rich in early Wellington saw milling history and emerge at Efil Doog Garden of Art. Hosts Ernest and Shirley Cosgrove give walkers a guided tour of this amazing garden filled with sculptures and remarkable collection of art in the Art gallery.

At 5pm walkers are collected and transported back to their accommodation . A beautiful country meal is provided.

The third day is an opportunity for a slower start. After a good breakfast walkers can explore the  Aroha Falls walk.

This package includes all meals, transport, accommodation, garden and wildlife reserve entry fees. The price is inclusive of GST at $395 pp.
